Job Title: Anesthesiology Physician

No of Positions or candidates required: 1 (Primary coverage with on-call support)

Shift Schedule:

• Regular Shift: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM

• On-Call (Weeknights): Monday Friday, 4:00 PM 7:30 AM

• On-Call (Weekends):

  • Saturday 7:30 AM Sunday 7:30 AM

  • Sunday 7:30 AM Monday 7:30 AM

How many shifts needed per month: Full-time coverage (Monday Friday) with additional on-call rotation coverage (exact monthly count not explicitly defined; continuous coverage required)

License: Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state

Certifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Experience needed: Typically 2 3+ years of recent clinical experience in anesthesiology

Special Skills needed:

• Administration of anesthesia for surgical procedures

• Pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluation

• Airway management and critical care skills

• Ability to respond to emergency situations

• Proficiency in using anesthesia equipment and monitoring systems

• Strong communication and coordination with surgical teams

Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive anesthesiology services to eligible patients

• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans

• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical and procedural cases

• Manage patient recovery and post-anesthesia care

• Participate in on-call coverage, including nights and weekends

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

• Comply with facility medical staff bylaws, policies, and procedures

• Ensure adherence to all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards

Misc:

• Physician must be available for both scheduled and on-call coverage

• Must meet all VA credentialing and privileging requirements
