Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
  • Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
  • Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
  • Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current armed security licensure in Texas.

Job Duties:

Access control:

  • Checking identification of all individuals entering and exiting the property.
  • Verifying visitor passes and ensuring they are authorized to be on site.
  • Monitoring vehicle registration plates and checking for valid permits.
  • Denying entry to unauthorized personnel.

Observation and reporting:

  • Maintaining vigilance for suspicious activity, unusual behavior, or potential threats.
  • Reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • Logging details of all incidents and visitor information.

Patrol and Monitoring

  • Patrol routes, schedules, and methods shall be determined in conjunction with the client and must be strictly followed by the security officer.
  • The security officer shall conduct periodic patrols and report any irregularities promptly.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Wisconsin Firearms Permit from Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) (Must have).
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Must pass a background check.

  • Primary post will be at one of our locations in Milwaukee, WI.
