The Associate Director of Corporate Engagement, Placement Success, will serve as a crucial member within the corporate engagement function to secure and foster high-quality, work-based experiences for students. This role involves facilitating interactions between interns and corporate partner staff to ensure a successful internship experience. The Associate Director will be the main point of contact for supervisors, aiding interns in transitioning to employment and maintaining partner satisfaction and retention. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Engagement, this role involves translating account strategy into actionable solutions focused on service standards, co-selling as needed, and serving as an expert on successful placements. Working with employers capable of accommodating 25+ interns per cycle across multiple locations, this role ensures mutual benefit for students and partners. The ideal candidate will have experience working with internships or similar programs, demonstrating competence in communication across multiple audiences and bridging educational and corporate environments. Strong judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex situations are essential. Responsibilities include managing relationships with supervisors, coaching interns to support performance, and providing high-quality customer service to achieve key performance indicators related to account retention, expansion, satisfaction, and conversion of interns to hires. The role also involves managing engagement scopes of work, addressing performance issues, and partnering with Program Managers to develop performance improvement plans. Implementing onboarding activities and managing internship logistics are also key duties. This position requires overseeing the matching process for interns, analyzing student strengths to determine suitable placements based on partner needs, and organizing internship readiness workshops. Project management and data reporting responsibilities include coordinating the collection of internship information, handling manager orientation, and ensuring students comprehend necessary logistics. Regular communication with and coaching of assigned interns and partners is integral to maintaining a positive and effective educational environment, in alignment with the values fostered by the client.
