Bartender – Soho Lounge
Location: Soho Lounge, Terminal 8 – JFK Airport, NYC

The Bartender is responsible for executing high-volume lounge beverage service with precision, speed, and hospitality discipline. This role requires strong technical bartending skill, composure under pressure, and strict adherence to airport security and alcohol compliance standards. The bartender represents the lounge brand through product knowledge, presentation, and controlled service flow.
Core ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes
Maintain consistent pour control and cost awareness
Execute high-volume service while maintaining quality standards
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and enforce responsible service practices
Maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization at all times
Conduct opening and closing bar procedures accurately
Restock liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages proactively
Maintain compliance with TSA and airport operational protocols
Support overall lounge operations during peak service periods
Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Compliance with all local and state alcohol service laws
Maintain professional grooming and uniform standards
Uphold guest confidentiality and premium hospitality standards
Minimum 2 years bartending experience in high-volume or upscale hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine varietals, and beer styles
Ability to execute service efficiently in a fast-paced airport setting
Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS or equivalent)
Ability to pass airport background check and obtain required security clearance
Lounge, hotel, or fine-dining bar experience
Familiarity with POS systems and inventory controls
Experience working in union or corporate hospitality environments
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Deliver consistent beverage quality
Maintain speed without sacrificing accuracy
Control waste and over-pouring
Contribute to a disciplined, team-oriented service culture
