Bookkeeper | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $46,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and tracking payments.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Process payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Assist with inventory costing, tracking, and reconciliation for raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processing.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., job costing, standard costing)
• Familiarity with inventory valuation methods relevant to manufacturing
• Experience managing fixed assets, particularly manufacturing equipment depreciation
