Job Description

Job Summary

Cardinal Ritter College Prep, a St. Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school for grades 9–12, seeks a certified Business Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach in an urban, college-preparatory environment, possess a strong academic background, and hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate (Master’s degree preferred).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Missouri State Teaching Certification in Business Education (required)
  • Experience teaching in an urban, college‑prep environment (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of core business concepts including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, accounting, marketing, management, and economics
  • Ability to teach courses such as Personal Finance, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and Introduction to Business
  • Experience integrating real‑world applications, case studies, simulations, and project‑based learning
  • Ability to connect students to college and career pathways in business and related industries
  • Understanding of financial‑literacy standards and workforce‑readiness competencies
  • Strong classroom‑management, communication, and organizational skills

The employed person is expected to:

  • Support and model the mission, vision, policies, and procedures of the St. Louis Archdiocese and Cardinal Ritter College Prep
  • Plan and deliver high‑quality instruction using the Gradual Release Model
  • Create assessments that promote higher‑order thinking
  • Incorporate instructional technology effectively and implement project‑based learning
  • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Use the school’s online student data system and Google applications
  • Demonstrate commitment to the vocation of teaching and collaborate effectively with colleagues

Compensation

Based on degree level and experience (somewhat negotiable) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
