Job Description

Bluegrass Orthopaedics i s hiring a full-time Clinical Assistant for our Clinical department in Lexington, Ky.

 
As a  Clinical Assistant with Bluegrass Orthopaedics, you will be responsible for assisting the Provider in the clinic with tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, creating PT orders or Work Status forms, E-scribing medications, removing sutures, helping patients with post op-care and bandaging, and more. When necessary, the Clinical Assistant may be used for coverage in other clinics and departments, so an understanding of our EMR system and clinic flow is important.


Bluegrass Orthopaedics has been serving Central and Southeastern Kentucky for over 25 years. We offer a variety of services for all areas of sports medicine, total joint care, industrial medicine and foot, ankle and hand care. We pride ourselves in treating athletes of all ages - from the youth sports athlete, to the weekend warrior, the industrial athlete, to the senior athlete.





 Job Requirements: 
  • Education requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent)
  • Work at your desk to complete a variety of tasks while the Provider is in surgery
  • Check and complete Tasks daily
  • Document all patient interactions in the patient’s chart (i.e phone calls, form completion/drop off)
  • Check and return voicemails daily
  • Check and organize faxes in updox daily
  • Complete FMLA and short term disability forms
  • Make sure the Provider is signing open encounter notes in a timely manner
