Sofitel New York is looking for a Director of Security who is an enthusiastic, hospitality-oriented professional that is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all the employees, guests and building. In addition, the Director of Security is in charge of the smooth and efficient operations of the Security Department in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner

• Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 / Year

What you will be doing:

• The Director of Security will direct the Safety and Security department ensuring policies and procedures are followed, oversee all reports and follow up of incidents. Coordinate and direct the Safety Committee, and implement new training procedures.
• Review all incident reports of property losses, fire, accidents, and reports of unusual occurrences to ensure complete investigation and follow up.
• Educate staff on the Hazardous Chemical Programs (OSHA) and other related safety programs.
• Supervise fire drills, train employees in fire evacuation procedures and ensure that sufficient qualified personnel are available to perform the duties of Fire Safety Director.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Candidate must possess a minimum two-year Security Management experience in a luxury hotel along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. High School diploma required, BS in Fire Science or Police Science Preferred. Must have 5 years Security experience in Hotels. Must be Fire Safety Director, CPR certification, and First Aid certified.
