Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description

The Field Service Engineer leads and executes customer-facing installations, site MRI lab build-outs, system modifications, and ongoing service and maintenance for systems, including the Advantage System and all third-party equipment. This role coordinates and manages all technical aspects to ensure safe, timely, and compliant installations, successful clinical use, and high customer satisfaction. Compliance with Quality System requirements and adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project management lead for MRI lab build-outs, system installations, and modifications. Define specifications, timelines, and operational readiness requirements.

  • Develop objectives, schedules, and repeatable procedural checklists.

  • Install, test, and document all product equipment to meet compliance and performance requirements.

  • Manage all maintenance and repairs of systems. Troubleshoot and solve any customer issues.

  • Maintain service tickets, quality records, and regulatory documentation.

  • Coordinate delivery, installation, training, and go-live activities.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Clinical, Operations, and Engineering teams.

  • Work with field clinical engineers to provide technical and clinical case support as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 5-7 years of experience in project management or field service engineering, preferably in the medical device industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or bioengineering preferred.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proven track record of performing independent investigational and troubleshooting skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of documentation and strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Customer-centric mindset.

  • Experience working in MRI labs with medical device systems is preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and passport required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical device industry is advantageous.

  • Project management skills are highly valued.

Work Environment

The role requires 75% travel, mostly domestic, with occasional international trips. When not traveling, the candidate should be local to train onsite and occasionally come into the office.

This is a Permanent position based out of Burnsville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
