Success in this role elevates storytelling quality, increases production capacity, and builds a foundation for a growing video team that supports CHCC’s mission and vision.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Own all produced video content for CHCC, including testimonies, sermon bumpers, campaign videos, promos, recaps, welcome videos, and digital-first storytelling.
  • Lead the full filmmaking lifecycle for produced content, including concept development, pre-production planning, shooting, editing, revisions, and final delivery.

  • Establish and maintain professional post-production workflows aligned with industry standards for editing, review, approvals, and version control.
  • Develop and manage motion graphics systems and templates using After Effects for produced content, ensuring efficiency, brand consistency, and reuse.
  • Plan and lead video shoots for produced content, including lighting, audio capture, camera operation, and on-location direction.
  • Serve as the primary owner of produced video asset management, including file naming conventions, folder structures, long-term storage, backups, and archival reuse.
  • Ensure produced video deliverables meet professional specifications for resolution, color, audio levels, captions, and platform-specific formatting.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Director on creative direction, messaging alignment, and production timelines for campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
  • Partner with ministry leaders to translate ministry goals into clear creative briefs and executable production plans for produced content.
  • Coordinate with the Live Video Director to deliver finished videos optimized for weekend playback, while not owning live broadcast execution or run-of-show decisions.
  • Coordinate with marketing strategist to create weekly social media content.
  • Train, equip, and mentor volunteers and interns in video editing, filmmaking fundamentals, and post-production workflows.
  • Lead the development of the video production team by training, mentoring, and contributing to future staffing and role design.
  • Contribute to the long-term development of the video ministry by helping define future staffing needs, roles, and scalable production systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May directly supervise video production staff as the team grows, including editors, producers, or other creative roles.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership for direct reports and volunteers by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and fostering a healthy, Christ-centered team culture.
  • Participates in hiring processes for video staff and interns, including interviews, onboarding, and training, in partnership with the Communications Director and HR.
  • Conducts performance check-ins and contributes to performance evaluations and development plans in partnership with leadership and HR.
  • Supports scheduling and workload planning for the video team to ensure deadlines are met and ministry priorities are supported.
  • Ensures team practices align with CHCC’s mission, values, policies, and applicable employment laws.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with CHCC’s values, policies, and applicable laws, including hiring support, training, performance development, and conflict resolution.

SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

  • Affirm and support CHCC’s Statement of Faith and mission.
  • Pursue personal spiritual growth through regular time in Scripture, prayer, and engagement in the life of the church.
  • Reflect the Fruit of the Spirit in character, conduct, and relationships.
  • Love and serve others within the church and broader community with humility and care.
  • Foster Christ-centered relationships with staff, volunteers, and congregants.
  • Lead by example in prayer, mentorship, and servant-hearted leadership.
  • Uphold a servant-leader mindset consistent with a Christ-honoring workplace culture.
  • Live out CHCC’s six staff values—exalt, praise, unity, empathy, effort, and accountability—through a spirit of humility, a commitment to excellence, and a heart to serve both God and others.
