Finance Associate

We are seeking a detail-obsessed Finance Associate to join our team and keep our numbers in top shape. The successful candidate will rotate across every core finance workflow—bookkeeping, accounts receivable & payable, month-end close, reporting, and cash management—gaining 360° exposure to how a high-growth fintech scales its finances.

The primary focus of this position is to keep our books accurate, our cash under control, and our insights actionable, so the business can move faster and smarter. Key Responsibilities

  • Daily bookkeeping – post journal entries, upload invoices & payroll files, maintain the general ledger and reconcile bank statements.

  • Accounts receivable & credit control – resolve issues with customer invoices, follow up on collections and keep ageing schedules healthy.

  • Accounts payable – verify supplier invoices, code expenses correctly and prepare payment runs.

  • Month-end & year-end close – assist with accruals, prepayments, balance-sheet reconciliations and internal reporting packs.

  • Budgeting & forecasting – supply actuals and variance analysis to help the team stay on target.

  • Audit & compliance – gather support files, maintain organised documentation and liaise with external auditors and tax advisers.

  • Process improvement – spot inefficiencies, suggest automations and help us scale our finance stack.

Requirements

In particular, we are looking for:

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, audit or finance (startup or (e)commerce a plus).

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar. Part-qualified ACA/ACCA welcomed but not required.

  • Solid grounding in double-entry bookkeeping and basic IFRS/Greek GAAP concepts.

  • Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP or cloud accounting software (we use SoftOne) is a big plus.

  • Analytical mindset, keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Professional working proficiency in Greek and English.
