The Leidos Intel Sector has an opening for an experienced and fully cleared Health and Fitness Specialist to support a Federal Intelligence Community customer s occupational health and wellness program . The Health and Fitness Specialist will work at Federal sites throughout N orthern Virginia as part of a team working to create implement and lead a variety of health wellness and fitness programs to the Federal clients workforce . Work locations are located inside the beltway and in the Dulles corridor . This is an exc iting opportunity to join a team focused on promoting physical health and wellbeing to the Federal workforce.
The a bility to travel locally throughout the northern Virginia region is POV mileage is reimbursable. Additional travel within the Continental United States may be .

Primary Responsibilities
List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.
The contractor Health and Fitness specialist will be responsible for w orking with government management to plan oversee and execute a comprehensive Health and Fitness program consistent with established standards and focused on individual exercise programming fitness assessments wellness events workshops seminars group exercise and nutrition counseling . This may include but is not limited to:
Develop lead assist and deliver health and wellbeing briefings workshops events and seminars
Provide health and wellbeing consultations and services to individuals including fitness goal setting and customized fitness programs
Provide individuals and group fitness participants with enhanced knowledge of exercise body alignment and exercise safety.
Support the planning management and evaluation of fitness programs and equipment
Perform administrative tasks such as fitness facility oversight and equipment assessment
Attend meetings and provide written weekly activity reports.
Serv e as substitute if primary instructor is unable to teach a group exercise class
Basic Qualifications
List the must have MINIMUM requirements to be considered for the position and ensure minimum quals fall within the minimum Leidos job code requirements. Example: Bachelors Degree with 6 years of applicable experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance . Must have 2 years JAVA experience.
Required:
Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Active personal training certification from at least one of the following:
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
American Council on Exercise (ACE) National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
Additional equivalent certification from a nationally recognized organization in the field of health and fitness may be accepted with review
Active CPR and AED certification
5 years of work experience as a health fitness specialist or exercise physiologist setting fitness goals and planning / managing customized fitness programs
Preferred Qualifications
List additional skills and experience that is nice to have but not required .
Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science or related field
National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA -CSCD)
The ideal candidate must be available to work within 5:30am 5:30pm.
