The Leidos Intel Sector has an opening for an experienced and fully cleared Health and Fitness Specialist to support a Federal Intelligence Community customer s occupational health and wellness program . The Health and Fitness Specialist will work at Federal sites throughout N orthern Virginia as part of a team working to create implement and lead a variety of health wellness and fitness programs to the Federal clients workforce . Work locations are located inside the beltway and in the Dulles corridor . This is an exc iting opportunity to join a team focused on promoting physical health and wellbeing to the Federal workforce.

The a bility to travel locally throughout the northern Virginia region is POV mileage is reimbursable. Additional travel within the Continental United States may be .

Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance

Primary Responsibilities

List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.

The contractor Health and Fitness specialist will be responsible for w orking with government management to plan oversee and execute a comprehensive Health and Fitness program consistent with established standards and focused on individual exercise programming fitness assessments wellness events workshops seminars group exercise and nutrition counseling . This may include but is not limited to:

• Develop lead assist and deliver health and wellbeing briefings workshops events and seminars

• Provide health and wellbeing consultations and services to individuals including fitness goal setting and customized fitness programs

• Provide individuals and group fitness participants with enhanced knowledge of exercise body alignment and exercise safety.

• Support the planning management and evaluation of fitness programs and equipment

• Perform administrative tasks such as fitness facility oversight and equipment assessment

• Attend meetings and provide written weekly activity reports.

• Serv e as substitute if primary instructor is unable to teach a group exercise class

Basic Qualifications

List the must have MINIMUM requirements to be considered for the position and ensure minimum quals fall within the minimum Leidos job code requirements. Example: Bachelors Degree with 6 years of applicable experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance . Must have 2 years JAVA experience.

Required:

• Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance

• Active personal training certification from at least one of the following:

• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)

• American Council on Exercise (ACE) National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)

• National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)

• Additional equivalent certification from a nationally recognized organization in the field of health and fitness may be accepted with review

• Active CPR and AED certification

• 5 years of work experience as a health fitness specialist or exercise physiologist setting fitness goals and planning / managing customized fitness programs

Preferred Qualifications

List additional skills and experience that is nice to have but not required .

• Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science or related field

• National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA -CSCD)

• The ideal candidate must be available to work within 5:30am 5:30pm.
