Inspection Technician | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $42,000 - $65,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
• Identify, tag, and isolate non-conforming materials or products.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality specifications.
• Conduct first-article, in-process, and final product inspections.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality defects and non-conformances.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., Polyworks, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or other problem-solving techniques
• ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Inspector)
