What To Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately August 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

We provide an experience that allows the intern to experience life at Tesla by including them in projects that are critical to their team’s success.
About the team:
The Integration Platforms team develops technology to support our ever-expanding customer fleet from prototype to production. A member of this team will build technology that interfaces with our vehicles in a variety of ways.
Examples of products we’ve shipped include:
A tool to interact with any vehicle remotely, collecting status and updating software/configurations A tool to analyze trillions of data points for anomalies A tool to allow engineers to dynamically query the fleet and collect real-time responses to questions like "let me see data from a random sample of 100 cars currently driving at least 60 MPH with the windows down and the AC on" A technology to live stream data off any vehicle, at anytime, anywhere in the world A tool that automatically aggregates information from many sources surrounding an event to build a contextual timeline
What You'll Do
As a Software Development Engineer Intern on this team is expected to go deep on multiple domains of product development, including:
Front-end UI/UX design Back-end Frameworks Database and Caching Architecture DevOps Product Security Validation
What You'll Bring Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study with a graduation date between August 2026 – August 2027 Go and Python development experience Experience with web technologies and web frameworks (React, Flask, etc.) Experience with workflow management platforms (Airflow, Temporal, or similar) Basic knowledge of stream processing/messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) Experience with relational databases Experience with virtualization (Docker or similar) Experience with CI/CD systems Experience with large scale data processing and querying preferred Basic knowledge of machine learning and data analytics preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Experience working in a fast-paced environment on a number of different simultaneous projects

Expected Compensation
$36.06 - $56.13/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
