General Laborer Machine Shop
Small local business is seeking a mechanically inclined general laborer. Excellent opportunity for the right person in an industrial machine shop assisting in the production of heavy machine parts. Possibility of advancement and training in the fields of Welding and/or Machining for the right, self-motivated, candidate.
tasks include, but are not limited to:
Help maintain Equipment and Custom Parts.
Assist during deliveries, loading and unloading of shipments. Heavy Lifting Required. Must be able to lift at least 75lbs.
Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
expertise Needed:
capability to follow instruction.
capability to use a forklift a plus, but will train.
Mechanical expertise a plus.
capability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning. i.e. Sandblaster
capability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
Excellent communication expertise with the capability to work as a team.
Self-motivated with the capability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
HS Diploma and/or GED Required
Current Valid Driver's License Required
First Shift, Full Time Position-Daytime M-F, 7:30-4:00. Possible weekends. Starting rate is $22.00 per hour. Overtime possible during busy periods. Benefits including 401K available after probationary period.
