Joss & Main Store Manager

Location: Burlington, MA (Burlington Mall)

Compensation: $79,650 - $116,820 per year (updated base range estimate of $79,650 - $97,350 with 10% bonus target based on store performance)

As the Store Manager, you are an essential player in Wayfair’s retail growth trajectory, responsible for creating a visually inspiring, energetic showroom to connect customers with the perfect pieces and best in class services to make designing their home easy and fun. What you’ll do:

  • You are responsible for your store’s financial health and profitability, focused on growing revenue and exceeding targets through best in class salesmanship and maintaining a high bar for your team.

  • You’ll support your team in setting and achieving KPI goals, embodying a “player coach” mentality to lead by example and driving a culture of high performance, engagement, and accountability

  • As an authentic brand ambassador for the Wayfair family, create brand awareness and excitement beyond the four walls through community outreach, in-store events, and local business partnerships

  • Develop a deep bench of high potential associates through effective performance management, coaching, and recruiting efforts

  • Maintain leadership presence through effective floor management and resource allocation, motivating all associates in sales, operations, and product knowledge by providing resources and direct support.

  • Effectively manage store operations, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and maintain visual merchandising standards

  • Utilize sales analytics tools to drive store profitability and growth in a way that supports the success of the overall brand.

  • Develop, lead, and deliver a long-term sustainable plan for growth and profitability in the market.

  • Identify and share opportunities to innovate, improve, and simplify processes to ensure operational excellence.

  • Know and assess the competition and retail evolution by leveraging insights and feedback to deliver results.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of management experience in a specialty retail and/or multi-unit retail business environment. Interior design, furniture, or home goods experience preferred.

  • Strong salesmanship, relationship building, and communication skills to build genuine connections with clients, teammates, and internal partners.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Proven ability to motivate, influence and inspire teams.

  • Track record of thriving in a fast paced and changing environment.

  • Technical acumen to learn necessary software; experience with Google Cloud G Suite, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms preferred.

  • Ability to process information and merchandise through a computer system and POS register system.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs evolve.
