Private Family in Miami Beach, FL Seeking a Travel Nanny

Position: Full-Time Live-In Travel Nanny

Schedule: Rotating schedule:

• Week 1: Wednesday–Sunday
• Week 2: Monday–Friday
  This schedule repeats, resulting in every other weekend required

Typical Hours:

• Weekdays: 6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–8:00/9:00 PM
• Weekends: 9:00 AM–9:00 PM

Salary: $45–$50 per hour depending on experience, education, with overtime paid over 40 hours

Benefits: Health insurance stipend, 3 weeks paid time off, and 5 sick days

Start Date: April or May 2026

Relocation: Yes – open to relocation for the right candidate

About the Family

A kind but very private family located in Miami Beach is seeking a professional Travel Nanny to join their household team. The family travels frequently throughout the year, sometimes for extended periods of 2–3 months at a time , and they are seeking a nanny who is experienced and comfortable with a travel-heavy lifestyle.

This position will work alongside the family’s current nanny of four years , so finding someone who is collaborative, respectful, and able to work well as part of a team is extremely important.

When traveling, accommodations are comfortable and private. The nanny will have their own bedroom and bathroom in each location.

Children: Two children with very active sports schedules

Household Staff: Fully staffed household including another long-term nanny

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, professional childcare for two active children
• Assist with morning routines (school/sports preparation) and afternoon/evening care
• Manage school pickups, activities, and sports schedules
• Support homework routines and maintain structured daily schedules
• Travel extensively with the family throughout the year, sometimes for 2–3 months at a time
• Collaborate closely with the other nanny when schedules overlap
• Take sole charge of the children on days when working independently
• Assist with children’s laundry, organization of rooms and belongings, and packing for travel
• Maintain discretion and professionalism within a private household

The ideal candidate is a career nanny with extensive private household experience, particularly in live-in and travel-heavy roles. They should be calm, organized, flexible, and highly professional. Because the family already has a long-term nanny, the candidate must be collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented, while also being confident working independently when needed.

A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain structure and warmth with active children are essential. The family values discretion, reliability, and someone who is comfortable in a very private household environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years as a professional nanny in private households
• Prior live-in experience required
• Significant travel nanny experience required
• Minimum 2+ years with multiple families
• Excellent references with verifiable employment history
• Valid passport
• Legal to work in the United States
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the year
• Comfortable working both independently and alongside another nanny
• Must be able to swim and be comfortable staying on a yacht when traveling
• Professional demeanor and strong sense of discretion
• Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
• Valid driver’s license
