The Clinic Nurse Manager is accountable for the quality of patient care, operational efficiency, and human resources management for assigned area(s). The Manager provides leadership and guidance to Medical Assistants (MAs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and other clinical and administrative staff supporting clinic operations, and performs complex administrative and clinical duties as required. The Manager serves as a primary point of contact for physicians, staff, patients, and external departments to address issues requiring resolution, and assists with the overall management of clinic operations. The role includes serving as the primary competency validator and educator for clinical staff and overseeing complex, independent problem-solving. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the RN Manager may provide direct outpatient care when necessary, utilizing the nursing process to support patients and families. The Manager ensures patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality, maintains compliance with infection control standards, and ensures care delivery aligns with professional standards and hospital policies. The Manager promotes a positive, professional practice environment; supervises and develops frontline staff; supports Shared Governance and Magnet principles; and makes data-driven decisions to achieve an optimal, cost-effective patient experience. The Manager role models behaviors consistent with the organization's values and advances its mission, vision, and strategic.

The annual base salary range for this position is $145,600.00 - $240,240.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
