Position Description:
We are seeking a part-time in-person Middle School Math Tutor to provide 1:1 or group tutoring instruction during day-time hours depending on your availability.

• Location: Various locations across New Castle County
• Type: Part-time
• Schedule:Flexible; We are looking for a tutor who can support for less than 10 hours a week between 8AM - 3PM depending on your hours in the evening may be available.
• Travel: Tutor may be traveling to different locations across New Castle County to provide tutoring (for example in schools or libraries)

• Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring forinstruction in middle school math in a school setting or library setting.

• Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles

• Use creative hands-on approaches to make the subject engaging and relevant

• Maintainaccurate documentation of studentssessionsand progress

• Communicate with parents regularly and students teacher as needed
• Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience with middle school-aged students (excluding student teaching) in the topic of Math (geometry algebra I & II etc.).

• Bachelors degree required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement need and skill level
• Ability to manage student(s) in group setting
• Ability to travel to different locations in New Castle County (like schools libraries etc.)
