Job Description

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 3+ years of experience developing with Nextflow or engineering data pipelines.
• We need strong hands-on experience in bioinformatics and genomic sequencing workflows.
• We require a solid background in data engineering systems and workflow orchestration.
• We value familiarity with regulated environments such as GxP, GMP, or cloud-based compliance frameworks.
• We prefer candidates with experience in life sciences or healthcare settings.
• We also prefer knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform that support bioinformatics processing.
• Familiarity with tools and frameworks used in genomic data analysis is a plus.
• We are seeking someone who can work independently and produce high-quality results on a short-term engagement.
• A background that allows for a quick ramp-up and immediate impact is highly desirable.

• We lead and support data engineering initiatives in the genomics and bioinformatics domain.
• We design, develop, and fine-tune Nextflow-based pipelines for genomic sequencing workflows.
• We build scalable and reproducible processes for handling large biological datasets.
• We partner with stakeholders to deliver efficient workflow orchestration and automation.
• We ensure pipeline development follows GxP expectations where applicable.
• We contribute to data engineering best practices within a regulated environment.
• We support a new client engagement with the potential for additional future work.
• We work remotely, with no travel required, and are expected to ramp quickly and deliver meaningful impact within a short timeframe.

We are supporting a new client engagement in New York, NY focused on genomic sequencing and bioinformatics workflows. This is an initial project with the potential to expand into future work as the relationship grows.
