Description

The QA Tester is primarily responsible for ensuring that computer software, applications, or products do not have any defects or issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd level technical support to company user base on business systems
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, to a variety of issues in the areas of accounting, business functions, customer service, purchasing and warehouse/distribution
  • Decipher complex issues and communicate results in a clear and concise manner
  • Maintain poise and work effectively through challenging situations; utilize resources to accomplish end results
  • Quality Assurance testing for: new programs, upgrades and fixes to the existing software with required documentation and evidence.
  • Manage updates to the Bunzl system/procedure documentation (Newsletter) necessitated by changes to the system
  • Provide positive customer service and possess a helpful, proactive attitude
  • Participate in all aspects of testing and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2-3 years in a customer support role required
  • Previous warehouse and distribution processes preferred
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and electronic ordering
  • Ability to multi-task while providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication as well as strong organizational skills
  • Must be detail and process oriented, and possess the ability to be self-motivated
  • Must have the ability to communicate complex situations and solutions to end users in an efficient and effective manner
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and SCRUM development
  • Strong technical skills with an in-depth knowledge of various testing strategies
  • Strong knowledge of IBM Power Systems (Otherwise known as AS400) preferred
  • Some travel may be required
