Quality Inspector | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of products and components.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly in quality records and databases.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and quality standards to ensure compliance.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Solid understanding of quality control methodologies and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills for defect identification.
• Experience with documenting inspection results and non-conformances.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods
• Lean / Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
• Experience participating in internal or external quality audits
