Location: Permian Basin, Texas (Field-Based Role)

Salary: $120,000 Base + Full Benefits

About the Role

This is a fully field-based position supporting upstream oil & gas operations across the Permian Basin. The Safety Specialist will work directly alongside crews, supervisors, and operations leadership to proactively identify hazards, influence safe behaviors, and drive continuous improvement on site.

This role is ideal for a safety professional who prefers boots-on-the-ground engagement over office-based compliance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily JHAs, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning in the field

• Conduct routine site audits, inspections, and hazard assessments

• Partner with operations leadership to proactively mitigate risk

• Ensure compliance with OSHA (29 CFR 1910 & 1926) and company standards

• Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis efforts

• Coach field teams and supervisors on safe work practices

• Maintain accurate safety reporting and documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of oil & gas safety experience (upstream preferred)

• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations

• Demonstrated field presence and ability to influence crews

• OSHA 30 required (CHST or CSP preferred)

• Ability to travel throughout the Permian Basin
