Current MaineHealth employees not eligible for the sign on bonus. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6months to be eligible.

Summary

The HVAC Mechanic role is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to maintain first-class operating condition.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Apprenticeship and/or Post-secondary education with courses in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical wiring and controls, plumbing, blueprint reading, and/or boiler operation preferred.
  • License/Certifications: State License as a Boiler Operator, 3rd or 4th Class and/or Stationary Steam Engineer within one year of start date required. Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) or related field required.
