Our client is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to lead short, medium, and long range planning at their open pit gold operation near Hawthorne, Nevada. This hands-on technical leadership role supports daily production while driving strategic mine design, drill/blast optimization, and collaboration across geology and operations teams on an 8 days on / 6 days off rotation.

8/6 rotation (Monday–Monday on site, Tuesday–Sunday off every second week)

Direct C-suite access and inclusive culture with team events
Develop short, medium, and long rangemine plans aligned with production/cost targets
Mentor Mine Technician on drill/blast designs, short-range plans, and daily ops
Produce/update pit designs, haul roads, leach pad stacking plans, and powder factors
Provide daily production engineering support, tracking, reconciliations, and dig updates
Collaborate with geology on ore control, dig limits, dilution management
Support budgeting, forecasting, life-of-mine scenarios, and regulatory reporting
B.S. in Mining Engineering or related field
5+ years open pit planning experience on producing mines
Proficiency with major mine planning software; drill/blast and scheduling expertise
Excellent communication and problem-solving in small-team environments
